Where does the tiered seating start? Can you still see from the end of a row?
What does 'General Admission' mean?
General admission means that seats are not
allocated. We recommended that you arrive half an hour
prior to the performance to select your seat.
Can I upgrade or exchange my ticket over the Internet?
Unfortunately you cannot exchange your ticket over the internet.
Exchange policies vary per performance, please check the event
information or contact Canberra Ticketing for details of
individual performances. For productions which allow exchanges, we
ask that all exchanges be made in person at Canberra Ticketing. All exchanges
must be finalised at least 24 hours prior to the ticketed
performance and will incur a $2.20 per ticket administrative
fee.
What is the age range for child ticket prices?
Unless otherwise stated a child is aged 1-15 years. For details
check event information or contact the Canberra Ticketing.
Infants under 12 months of age are permitted without a ticket
provided that they do not occupy a seat.
Can I purchase a gift certificate online?
No, in the interests of patron security gift certificates are
only available at the Canberra Ticketing in Civic.
Will I be getting the best available seats?
Yes. Tickets issued online will be selected from the best
available seats at the time of booking. Our online ticket office is
connected real-time to our box office ticketing system.
When booking in person or via the phone you will automatically
be offered best available unless you have a specific seating
request.
What about wheelchair bookings?
To ensure wheelchair accessible seating allocation, please
contact Canberra Ticketing to discuss your
seating requirements in person. Alternatively, you may complete and
forward our Accessible Seating Form and one of our
staff will contact you as soon as possible.
What venues/events are sold through this website?
Canberra Ticketing's online booking service covers all events in
The
Playhouse, Canberra Theatre and The Courtyard Studio, and through
Canberra
Ticketing other venues in the ACT including The Belconnen
Community Centre, Tilley's Devine Cafe and The Great Hall at Old
Parliament House.

How secure are my credit card details?
Canberra Ticketing provides online
ticket sales through our partner Tickets.com using a system of Internet
security called TicketSafeTM. With the Tickets.com
TicketSafeTM system at our web site, and a secure browser at your
end, you can be rest assured that your credit card and anonymity
are protected. We support the Verified by Visa service and the
Verisign standard to provide a secure environment between your
browser and our web site. A VeriSign electronic certificate ensures
that you're in contact with Tickets.com and not a digital imposter. All
data passed during the secure connection is encrypted for security
and transferred with no chance of it being intercepted and
used for any purpose other than the transaction you intend.
For the best security you should make sure your browser has been
upgraded to the most current version. You should then configure
your browser to manage a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection. Your
browser 'tells' you when it has established a secure connection by
displaying an icon, generally a padlock in the locked position,
located at the bottom of your browser window.
Ticket Price
Can I buy concession tickets on the web?
Yes. The concessions applicable for individual performances vary
- see the event information for available concessions in the show
you wish to see. Some concession types will not be available
online, such as groups and family tickets, however these may be
booked over the phone or in person.
Are concessions available for all shows?
Concession prices are at the discretion of the promoter.
Check the information on the show you wish to purchase to find out
if they have differing ticket prices.
Is there a booking fee over the web?
No, there is no additional fee for booking tickets over the
web.
Does my child need a ticket if they are sitting on my lap?
Infants under 12 months of age are permitted without a ticket
provided that they do not occupy a seat.
Can I reserve tickets without paying?
No, payment must be made in order to secure a ticket.
Is there a difference in price between seats in the front and back of the theatre?
Generally all tickets are the same price throughout the venue,
however this is at the discretion of the promoter. Check the
information on the show you wish to purchase for to find out if
they have differing ticket prices.
Ticket Collection
Where is the box office if I'm picking up tickets?
At the Canberra Theatre Centre, the Box Office is located in
Civic Square on London Circuit. Standard hours are 9am to 5pm
Monday through Friday and 10am - 2pm on Saturdays. Canberra Ticketing will also be open
one hour prior to performance start times at the Canberra Theatre
Centre and a minimum of 30 minutes for all other venues.

details on ticket collection for outside venues.
What if my tickets are lost?
If you have misplaced your tickets, or they have been stolen,
please contact Canberra Ticketing. Duplicate
tickets will be issued, but only 30 minutes before performance
commencement, and upon presentation of identification. For
performances not taking place at the Canberra Theatre or The Playhouse
duplicate tickets will be provided at the door of the respective
theatre on the night.
How long before the show should I pick up my tickets?
It is recommended that you pick up your ticket at least half an
hour before the show is due to start.
What if I'm running late?
The Box Office is open up until half an hour after performance
commencement. If you are later than this the Front of
House Concierge will have your
tickets. Please note that many shows observe a lockout on
latecomers and you may not be admitted until a suitable break in
the performance, or even the second act.
What forms of I.D. do I need to pick up my tickets?
You will require standard identification to collect your tickets
(i.e. drivers license, credit card) as well as proof of any concessions you have claimed.
